Crescendo

“After a tragedy that changed her life, Nora Grey, a girl with a life that is far from simple, went searching for clues of the night that her father was brutally murdered. When her guardian angel, Patch can’t respond when Nora lets those three words slip from her lips, she wants him out of her life. But when an old family friend, Scott Parnell, moves back in to town, his bad boy image and the fact that Nora knows exactly what he’s trying to hide, goes for him. After following Scott to the mall one afternoon, Nora sees who she thinks is her father, but fails to see his face. Images of her father keep popping up everywhere she goes and when she gets a note telling her who killed her father, she is determined to find out, even if means death. The highly anticipated sequel to Hush, hush, certainly delivers with action packed scenes and images that will haunt your dreams.

I give Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick four out of five stars. There was so much pure emotion hidden in the nooks and crannies of this book that I wanted to jump in and shake their shoulders because their choices were so incredibly stupid. Nora made the worst choices of all. I don’t know why she couldn’t understand why Patch couldn’t say those three words back. Why did she even need those words? We learned how much he loved her in the first book when he didn’t accept her sacrifice and became her guardian angel. That should be proof enough for her. But no. Nora just had to go off and hang with a new guy who turned out to be just as dangerous. This book was a little predictable, but kept me reading until the early hours of the morning. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a thriller mixed with the perfect amount of passion.”
