Aria is perfect. Her genes were carefully selected, and she lives in a simulated world inside a giant, germ-free, problem- free bubble. (Literally!) Then she is thrown out of her perfect world into a region known as “The Death Shop”, wrecked with cannibals and deadly Aether storms after a scandal with the ruler of her world’s son. She soon becomes allies with a twice- Marked outsider named Perry, who is trying to save his nephew Talon captured by Aria’s people, the Dwellers.
Aria learns that her mother, a scientist, may be dead. The only way to find her mother and Talon is to enter back into her own world. The Realm where her mother was working has been destroyed by the worsening Aether storms. And Perry comes face to face with the truth of his tribe.
Is saving their world up to them?
I loved this book. It was a good read that wasn’t cheesy or overinflated. Be warned, though; its a cliffhanger! If you can’t stand the suspense, don’t read this book because it left a lot of loose ends that I’m sure will be followed in future books.
